Meet our science lab instructors
Diane Daly serves as a Science Specialist at Forest View. She has been teaching in this capacity since 2012 and currently teaches Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade science lab classes. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the College of New Jersey. She received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Phoenix and has gifted education certification. Ms. Daly has taught at the Museum of Life and Science as well as a science specialist at Carrboro Elementary School and at R.N. Harris Integrated Arts/Core Knowledge Magnet School. She enjoys teaching hands-on lessons that offer children the opportunity to use creative and critical thinking as they explore science concepts in an engaging way. Her favorite topics in science include design technology from her abundant scrap collection! Lauren Greene serves as Science Specialist/Technology Facilitator at Forest View. She has been teaching at Forest View in this capacity since 2014 and currently teaches 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade science lab classes. Ms. Greene is a certified NC Environmental Educator. After studying Animal Science at Clemson University, she earned her Bachelor's in Business Management from Kennesaw State University and her Master's in Science Education from North Carolina State University. She has taught at nature centers, on boats, and about red wolves. Ms. Greene taught biology and earth science at Green Hope High School in Cary. She loves teaching about the natural sciences, focusing on getting her students to think like a scientist. Her favorite place to teach is anywhere outdoors. |
